Volunteers provide telephone support, support through medical examinations, advocacy with law enforcement personnel and court appointments. The training is a 46-hour program, covering topics of Rape, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Rape Trauma Syndrome, Medical and Legal Processes and Advocacy skills. Volunteer advocates must be caring, dependable and over the age of 18. No prior experience is necessary. To learn about becoming an advocate, call Jess at 725-2181, or email at Jessica Parent.
