Resources from The Children's Safety Partnership

In 2018, the Maine Department of Education (DOE)  created a Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Education and Response Model Policy to support schools in implementing effective child sexual abuse prevention policies.

The Children’s Safety Partnership (CSP) was created to provide additional support to schools and communities. The Children's Safety Partnership is an online toolkit with information for parents, caregivers, teachers, administrators, schools, and communities on how to implement Maine’s law in order to prevent and respond to concerns of child sexual abuse.

The Children’s Safety Partnership is a program under the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault in partnership with the Maine Department of Education
, local sexual assault agencies, and schools across the state of Maine.

If you are looking for a topic or resource that is not currently available, please email Julia at julia@sassmm.org or August at august@sassmm.org. You can also call (207) 725-2181. We would love to hear how we can best support your work.

More information will be coming soon about our virtual professional development opportunities for educators.

If you would like to learn about our typical offerings for students and educators, please view our School Education Flyer. We are looking forward to resuming our in-person programs in the future, when it is safe for our community.
