Title: Clients Services & Outreach Coordinator
Status: Regular, Full Time: 40hrs/wk
Salary: $20/hr; Estimated Annual Salary $41,600 plus benefits
Location: SASSMM Brunswick Office, with remote work from home, as possible.
Primary Responsibility: To administer client advocacy, outreach, awareness and Advocate Training services across multiple platforms and audiences. Implement SASSMM’s Advocate Training (volunteer recruitment, management, retention services) to all new staff advocates and volunteer advocates throughout the SASSMM service area of Eastern Cumberland (Brunswick, Harpswell, and surrounding Islands), Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo Counties.

- Complete SASSMM 47+ hours Advocate Training
- Serve as Statewide Helpline SASSMM point of contact for all scheduling changes, maintenance, or issues
- Manage the Level 2 caller list
- Helpline Policies and Procedures Handbook
- Schedule and distribute the monthly helpline coverage calendars for Volunteer and Staff Back Up Advocates, and update as needed
- Participate in staff back-up, and Emergency Staff back-up coverage of the Helpline
- Respond to all client needs associated with staff back-up capacity
- Maintain Advocate Resources Binder
- Creation/distribution of hospital packets and SAFE kit clothes to community hospitals and quality control of services
- Schedule, advertise, and maintain documentation of RAINN Helproom sessions
- Process Support Group Interest forms and co-facilitate support groups, as needed
- Provide 1:1 Support Group Facilitator Training when not provided by MECASA
- Support all client needs as identified via the Helpline, the SASSMM office phone, affiliated schools, or other community partners/community events (e.g. Bowdoin College referrals)
- Quality control of client services (actual response to crisis intervention, making of referrals to appropriate professionals for follow-up services, and facilitating monthly meeting and materials)
- Create, maintain, and strengthen working relationships with relevant community agencies and partners
- Engage in public speaking and community education presentations/trainings
- Maintain list of community meetings, while sharing responsibilities of attending community partner meet and greets with appropriate staff.
- Represent SASSMM at public awareness and tabling functions, prioritized by the agency, including tabling at some evening or weekend events, and distribute outreach materials
- Represent SASSMM on MECASA workgroups: Statewide Helpline Meeting, Advocate Training Workgroup, and Communications Cohort
- Work in collaboration with SASSMM's Education, Systems, and Midcoast Children’s Advocacy Teams; stay informed of SASSMM programming and practices to best outreach and represent our programming to all audiences
- Help design and implement community educational events and programs, focusing in Lincoln, Sagadahoc, and eastern Cumberland Counties.
- Manage and generate content for SASSMM’s social media presence - including Instagram and Facebook
- Update SASSMM website regarding events, opportunities, outreach, education, and client services
- Plan and coordinate activities for: Sexual Assault Awareness Month; Human Trafficking Awareness Month; and Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
- Represent the agency and the needs of survivors of sexual violence at coalitions, working groups and network meetings, or wherever collaboration could enhance the regional response to sexual violence
- Distribute evaluative and assessment instruments in collaboration with project participants, as needed
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- Recruit, screen, and train Volunteer Advocates (and new staff) through SASSMM’s 47+ hour community-based Advocate Training
- Provide supervisory support to volunteer advocates
- Input Empower entries for all Volunteer Advocate client services
- Process all monthly Request to Pay forms from Volunteer Advocates
- Maintain volunteer files, ensure volunteers are up to date on continuing education requirements and certifications
- At least two-years of experience working in a related in related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Experience providing awareness raising activities in schools or other community settings
- Experience working with volunteers
- Experience in public relations, developing educational and outreach materials
- Excellent computer literacy, organizational, facilitation, and oral and written communication skills
- Awareness of, and sensitivity to, issues of sexual violence
- Ability to respond to people in crisis and an open-minded nature
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to changing priorities
