Internships

Thank you for your interest in interning with the SASSMM/CAC! We are always accepting applications for individuals looking to intern with SASSMM or the CAC.

When you submit the Internship Interest Form, an advocate will reach out to you to follow up and schedule a preliminary interview, in order to learn more about you, your learning goals, and your needs for the internship. When the advocate reaches out to you for an interview, please have ready to submit your most up to date resume, a cover letter, and 2-3 professional references that the advocate can contact.

For those who are pursuing their MSW, these internship when available, allows for the individual to not only work directly with survivors and their non-offending caregivers, but also with community partners in an effort to bring wrap-around services to the youth and their support network. Interns can work with the the family advocate and forensic interviewers, and are encouraged to participate in the Helpline services offered through SASSMM in order to provide information, referrals, and emotional support to callers.

SASSMM:

Whether you chose to work with our Systems Advocacy team to learn about the criminal/civil justice systems, our Education Advocacy team to learn about prevention education, or our Outreach Services team to learn about community education and collaboration, you can design your experience based on what your unique learning objectives are.
