Picture
As a SART advocate, I'm happy to offer guidance and support to survivors and significant others should they choose to navigate the criminal or civil justice system. Choosing between safety and justice should never be a decision survivors have to make. I work within these systems to ensure a safe and positive experience for the survivor."

Sexual Assault Response Team

  • The SART collaborative began in 1987 and grew out of a three year team effort involving law enforcement, healthcare, and advocacy.
  • This collaboration facilitated the shift to a more survivor-oriented approach to sexual violence.
  • A SART Advocate will assist survivors and families who have questions about making a criminal and civil complaint and/or who are already involved in the criminal or civil justice system.
