What is GivingTuesday?
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that empowers people to transform both their communities and the world. It's an opportunity for people everywhere to stand together in unity-- to use their individual power of generosity to remain connected and to create positive change. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings all of us together. Leading up to GivingTuesday, you can show your generosity in a variety of ways. Whether it's helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to a cause, every act of generosity counts. We'll help! Here are some activities and events we have planned leading up to GivingTuesday:

I Give Because... Campaign - Sometimes the idea of "giving" can get lost in the hustle and bustle of the "season of giving." GivingTuesday offers us a reminder to step back from the busyness of the holidays and focus in on ways that we can give back in our own communities. To celebrate, we want YOU to share why you give! Download our printable "I Give Because" poster. Write down why you give to SASSMM! Giving can include a donation, your time, your follow and shares on social media, your conversations about SASSMM's services, and more! Share on social media with the hashtag #IGiveSASSMM. We'll be sharing photos of our supporters all month long!

Do Good Challenge - Feeling like you're stuck in a rut when it comes to connecting with others and giving back? We've got a challenge for you! Throughout November, we're offering up some ideas for ways that you can help your neighbors, your community, and your world. With help from GivingTuesday, we've created a Do Good Challenge Calendar for anyone who wants to set intentions for generosity and do good in the community. (Want to get the whole family involved? We've created a Do Good Challenge Calendar just for kids, too!)
